$20 challenge..uhhhh

August 18th, 2006 at 01:35 am

Well, I had my $20 challenge started, and I had almost $100 in the account, then we went and put my wedding dress on layaway. Bye Bye $100. BUT that is why we're saving money, to pay for the wedding first and foremost.

So the other night, my neighbors came over to shop my cupboards, and bought $16.50 worth of groceries, so that's restarting my $20 challenge.

New $20 challenge balance: $16.50

Ok, that's funny. You have enough food in your cupboards for neighbors to "shop"? LOL! That's nice that they paid you for it.

Gives a whole new meaning to "living out of your pantry."

Congratulations on the dress and the up-coming nuptuals.

I tend to have "stockpile yard sales" about twice a year, just to get rid of some of my overstock and make a little money for whatever. My neighbors are hurting for money right now..ya know..they're one of THOSE families lol. No money for groceries, but they always have beer! They also have a 16 yr old daughter who is pregnant so I try and help however I can, so discounted groceries is a plus for BOTH of us!

    Thanks for the congrats!

You rock! That's such an nice thing to do for your neighbors. I grew up in a street where everyone knew everyone else and we were like an extended family. I think too many people ignore their neighbors now or don't bother tryin to get to know them. So, kudos to you for being a great neighbor!

And congrats in the upcoming wedding!
